Our story
I'm Kristey — a lawyer, expat, and dog mum. Flying internationally with Kio — both in-cabin and as cargo — showed me just how complicated dog travel gets.
Even with a legal background, I struggled to piece together airline rules, government requirements, paperwork, and timelines scattered across dozens of websites. Advice was spread across WhatsApp groups, Reddit threads, and Facebook communities — often leaving owners unsure who to trust.
So I built the tool I wish I'd had.

How I choose who to recommend
I'm not a pet relocation company — I'm the person who researches them for owners.
I researched 40+ pet relocation companies and spent six months interviewing operators one-on-one, asking the questions owners need answered: what happens to your dog once you hand them over?
Before I recommend anyone, they must meet the same standard:
- Credentials — properly qualified, with relevant industry memberships and accreditations.
- Route experience — proven experience on the UK → UAE route.
- Animal welfare — proper crates, veterinary involvement, and a plan when things go wrong.
- Honest pricing — no hidden costs or unexpected airport fees.
- Communication — a real point of contact and updates throughout the journey.
- Reputation — genuine reviews with no pattern of unresolved complaints.
- Clear process — transparent services, realistic timelines, and no surprises about what is included.
And the question that matters most:
Would I trust them with Kio?
If the answer isn't a confident yes, they're not here.
My list is short. On purpose.
